a rare occurrence-Thomas gave me the remote. and this is what happened. this is what always happens. ever since my sister forced me to watch this movie (Country Strong) in May, and then I got over my initial shock at its plot twists, I pretty much watch this every chance I get.
Oh and in case you were wondering, Thomas left the room. Can’t say I didn’t see that coming. Obviously he doesn’t appreciate true art and the beauty of bad/good movies.
Alright. Country Strong has quickly become one of my top 10 favorite movies OF ALL TIME (that list includes Casablanca, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Moulin Rouge, Fight Club.. so before you ask, no I do NOT have bad taste!) I can’t explain it. I don’t understand it. It just is what it is. And what it is is I watch it at least 4 times a week. This doesn’t mean it’s not corny, because it is. (I mean it stars Tim McGraw, corny is nothing but EXPECTED.) And this link is spot on.. on the corniness.
If you are not (yet) obsessed with Country Strong (Shanna, I’m looking at you) don’t read this article. Because it may wrongly convince you that CS is a bad movie. And it fails to mention that Garrett Hedlund is beautiful. And if you haven’t seen it (what’s wrong with you?) it’s spoiler city.
So, the moral of this story is I love Country Strong and Garrett Hedlund and the Fug Girls are funny.

I’ve been pretty vocal about my distaste in country music, but because I love all things Country Strong these days, I am loving it’s (country FILLED) soundtrack. This is one of my favorite songs on the soundtrack. A duet by (the oh so handsome) Garrett Hedlund and (the oh so skinny) Leighton Meester. So pretty.. enjoyyyyy this sweet song and love it as much as I do!!
